We are currently seeking an Audit Senior for a top Audit practice in their Dublin office.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (Chartered Accountant or equivalent)
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and auditing, preferably obtained in a “Big 4/Top 10” environment
  • Experience with financial services clients
  • Excellent project management skills

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for a portfolio of audit clients across a range of industries
  • Planning of audit – timing, staffing and structure
  • Liaising closely with clients
  • Reviewing audit work papers
  • Researching and resolving technical queries from clients
  • Reviewing financial statements
  • Liaising with directors and partners, as well as other professionals including Tax, Actuarial, etc.
  • Preparation of reports to management on issues identified during the audit
  • Responsibility for managing the successful completion of the audit
  • Strong interpersonal skills, drive and enthusiasm are a pre-requisite for this role.

Internal Audit Senior

A leading accountancy and advisory organisations is seeking an Internal Audit Senior for their Dublin office.

Role of Internal Audit Senior
* Plan, execute and report on a range of Internal Audit assignments, both operational and financial
* Evaluate processes, systems and controls, detailing any remedial action required where gaps or weaknesses are identified
* Carry out financial control reviews, including detailed testing and evaluation of financial control processes
* Review systems and processes with respect to leading practice in order to advise clients on ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness
* Assess clients’ compliance with relevant legislation, regulation and guidance in order to provide assurance that they are in a position to meet their requirements

You will be expected to deliver high quality Internal Audit work, including:
* Drafting Internal Audit terms of reference and developing Internal Audit work programmes
* Producing excellent working papers
* Drafting Internal Audit reports and obtaining Management responses prior to their finalisation
* Assisting Internal Audit Managers and other team members to liaise with clients
* Performing process and system evaluations, and controls testing
* Learning our various technology tools and systems and providing support for activities such as risk workshops and client meetings
* Reviewing work of more junior team members as well as mentoring
* Ensuring that audit fieldwork is completed on time and within budget

Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* You will have a minimum of 2-3 years experience as part of an Internal Audit and/or Risk Management department or an Audit department where you have gained experience in internal controls, within industry or a professional services firm
* Third level qualification in a related field
* Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent), or pursuing same
* Outstanding communication – both spoken, written (including business reporting) and people skills
* Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence

Accounts and Admin Assistant

Our client is recruiting an Accounts and Admin Assistant for a full-time permanent position. The new recruit will join their Finance Department. This is an excellent opportunity for career growth and development with a busy accounts department in a highly successful, established, fast-growing company.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure monthly bank reconciliations to the nominal ledger as well as preparation of daily lodgement and daily monitoring of bank accounts including payments
  • Management of small creditors ledger (payments, posting of purchase invoices, monthly reconciliations, ongoing liaison)
  • Daily management of all day books and accounting function within accounts department (Lodgements, Nominal ledger, Creditors – payables)
  • Time management (coordination of work-in-progress ledger and adjustments, monthly debtors)
  • Reconciling additional sundry accounts linked to bank and other Revenue control accounts
  • Petty cash management and posting
  • Monthly reviewing of nominal ledger balances
  • Assist in monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, financial schedules and other ad hoc performance reports
  • Assistance with monthly management accounts to final stage (accruals, stats, depreciation etc)
  • Submitting all Revenue related returns
  • Preparation of CSO and general financial statistics for company
  • Dealing with clerical and general administrative duties in finance department
  • Providing support and cover to other financial team members as required
  • Daily reception back up support
  • Other ad-hoc finance department projects

Requirements

  • Good understanding of fundamentals accounting concepts
  • Some experience in an accounts and admin function
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook and Word)
  • Working knowledge of Sage Accounts Production and Sage Coretime a distinct advantage but not essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and good ability to multitask
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Have the ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team
  • An enthusiastic ambitious positive self-starter
  • Highly motivated person of integrity and discretion with an ability to take ownership and with strong attention to detail
  • Have legal right to live and work in Ireland
